I just finished a tremendous book written by Anita Moorjani sharing her near-death experience.  Dying To Be Me is this author’s best effort at explaining the incredible life-altering journey beyond the veil and back.

In the years before her path through “terminal” cancer she was like many of us…confused and lost in the illusion and identity of fear.  She shares how that when she came to the place of awareness and surrender, truly understanding that she was the author and creator of her experience, she entered a ‘knowing’ of the virtue of allowing.

Esther Hicks, in The Law of Attraction, explains that acknowledging that we are the creator of our experience, that we attract what we resonate and that no one or thing outside of our self is to blame for where we are….this is where we come to know the art of allowing.  And this she says, is the most difficult to accept, and to practice.

Allowing is impossible when we have an agenda based on fear.  It eludes us when we are convinced that we need to change the people and the world around us.  When we are blind to the fact that the world changes in response to our healing.  In that sense we are truly the center and creator of our universe.

Sounds pretty self-centered doesn’t it?  Pretty darn selfish!  As I learned and then shared in my book, Soaring Beyond Fear, this is truly the greatest step in allowing peace to rule in our life.  I admit that at times I still have room to focus more on this art.  Allow.  Breathe.  And let BE.

Then the miracles ensue….

In-Joy your day!

I really loved this little quote that came my way the other day….

“Fear is that little darkroom where negatives are developed.” – Michael Pritchard

For fear to gain a foothold and exert it’s less than positive effects in our lives, it must be allowed to stay.  It is only by intention that fear is asked to leave and our heart and mind remain unclouded with doubt and uncertainty.  When we share the photos of our inner thoughts with the world, are they negatives or full color potentials and possibilities?

Again the primary factor seems to be our daily intentions.  Do we arise each morning with a meditation of clear intention or do we slip back into the default mode of fear, negativity, remorse and then penitent re-action?

Our lives are an on-going development of expression as we navigate the challenges and joys of each day.  What is the picture that will be portrayed to my sphere of influence today?

So spend a few minutes each morning taking stock of your “dark room”….what do you see developing there and how can it be re-created?  Live and love today…you will be amazed at the return on the investment!

IN-JOY your DAY!

With 25 years of chiropractic under my belt and with a recently sold practice, a person might think that all I would have on my mind is a sandy beach and lots of water and sun…

Well, there was some of that for a few months however tomorrow I begin a new chapter sharing life and wellness with those who are searching.  I am opening an office in a new paradigm for me…fun, joy, service and NO INSURANCE (Ok, mostly no insurance…).  With my speaking, nutritional formulation, research, technique instructing, consulting…you would think I would have plenty to do.  Well that is true, however I do miss the hands-on aspect of how we live and serve.

So I am opening office number three with a tangible and striking absence of the old motivator…fear.  I can recall the early days of my first two offices.  The survival mentality, the edge of panic in making it happen.  This time around I will focus more on the law of attraction and allowing Great Spirit to provide…me with patients and new learning experiences.

With inattention to our solid foundation of confidence and knowing we can allow doubt to sow the seed of fear.  This time around my intention is to meet each day with joy and peace.  Peace that is the result of having lived so many years in fear and now determined to walk down another street.

I love Portia Nelson’s poem…

Autobiography in 5 Short Chapters
a poem by Portia Nelson, published in her book
There’s a Hole in My Sidewalk: The Romance of
Self-Discovery

Chapter I

I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk

I fall in.

I am lost … I am
helpless.
It isn’t my
fault.
It takes forever
to find a way out.

Chapter II

I walk down
the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don’t
see it.
I fall in again.
I can’t believe I am in the same place.

But, it isn’t my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

Chapter III

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep
hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in … it’s
a habit … but,
my eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is
my fault.
I get out immediately.

Chapter IV

I walk
down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk
around it.

Chapter V

I walk down another street.

So here’s to blazing a new trail…a new street…with understanding and gratitude gained from previous journey’s accomplished,

IN-JOY your LIFE!
