According to the Journal of Biological Chemistry in a report release January 7, 2011:
RESVERATROL INCREASES BENEFICIAL FAT HORMONE ADIPONECTIN; COULD BENEFIT OBESITY, DIABETES and AGING”
Wow.. that’s a pretty impressive statement if I do say so myself!
Resveratrol has received a great deal of attention over the past year as being touted for many beneficial things. Looks like we can now add to the list: Obesity control!
According to researchers at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, ” Resveratrol, a compound in grapes, displays antioxidant and other positive properties.
In a study published this week, they describe a novel way in which resveratrol exerts these beneficial health effects by stimulating a hormone, called adiponectin, that is derived from cells that manufacture and store fat. The researchers confirmed the finding in cells and animal models.
What gets my attention in their report is that it seems to have a positive effect on insulin resistance.
Now how does that differ from the way hCG is hypothesized to work?
hCG is hypothesized to positively signal the hypothalamus in regard to lipogenesis and lipolysis. What this means is the amount of fat the body is currently programmed to store, slows down, and the amount of fat the body should be releasing based on “energy’ in-take”, speeds up. This is one of the reasons people lose weight at such extraordinary rate on the hCG diet, if done correctly!
My clinical experience with POST HCG-DIETERS in regard to insulin resistance, is that additional supplements and/or homeopathics must be used during and after the hCG diet to effectively address insulin resistance. So this means resveratrol has the potential to address anti-obesity, anti-insulin resistance and anti-aging properties all in one and could be added to the list as an effective adjunct.
This is exiting to me!
Back in November I started using a resveratrol based juice that contains the patented bio-collagen Type II, Chondroitin Sulfate and hylauronic acid. I personally have been using it to treat my arthritic thumbs based on the internal benefits these ingredients have and the scientific backing it has in repairing joints. Having tried everything over the past 12 years from lasers to the latest pain cream on the market, nothing has ever given me any relief.
Now if you know me very well, you know I use myself as an experiment with supplements and therapies first, or how else could I testify if something works.
Up until last week, I have been telling everyone that juice is doing absolutely nothing for my thumb joints. About a month ago I even stopped using it for awhile. However last week I hit that “magic 6 week marker” and since then I truly am amazed the improvement I have started to get and the reduction of pain in my thumb joints.
For Chiropractors, I think this is going to be a home run for their patients. It’s not a miracle over-night cure, but if I have seen improvement after only 6 weeks with the problem I have had for 12 years, (and didn’t even take it every day!) the potential that this products may have to help rebuild joints, not to mention its anti-aging effects to plump up skin, is revolutionary!
Goes to show you, never give up on looking for a cure!
You can read more about the patented Bio-Cell technology comprised of collagen Type II, Chondroitin Sulfate and hylauronic acid
You can read more about the company that owns the patent and has combined it with the benefits proven from Resveratrol. As I mentioned above, I have only been using this product for my own personal use and am just now understanding the potential benefits I believe it has!

I have tried the hcg diet skin care. com and I really like the natural skin products especially the anti- aging products. I have very sensitive skin and it is very hard to find oil-free, para-ban free natural skin care that I can use that work while on the hcg diet

Dr Golden:
I have a question. You are saying this works with oral HCG adding resveratrol to the low a less than 500 caloric intake diet will help the type II diabetic but not beneficial for the insulin dependent diabetic. Does this not produce a potential supressio of the andrenal glands functions and create possible hypoadrenia?

Great question, and hopefully I didn’t confuse you!. . . since the recent studies show a positive result of Resveratrol on insulin resistance, resveratrol will be beneficial for everyone with belly fat. The HCG Diet ,when using JUST hcg prescription and/or a basic homeopathic formula, does NOTHING long term in my clinical observation to ‘fix’ the receptor sites. I have witnessed way too many people putting belly fat back on down the road after the diet. When I began adding nutritional and functional support for the underlying imbalances, I saw much better long term results. So with that said, resveratrol can now be added to the mix in regard to reducing insulin resistance and opening up those receptor sites.
Type I is a malfunction of the pancreas, not insulin resistance as in Type II brought on by toxins, foods and stress.
I think this newest discovery about this additional benefit of resveratrol is terrific, since it also contains proven anti-oxidant and anti-aging support. The company that has the patent on the biocell collagen, is, in my opinion, the forward thinking company in that they have taken their product one step further and made a phenomenal liquid product to utilize the scientifically proven benefits of their collagen rebuilding product and incorporated it into a potent, resveratrol base. I don’t think they were even aware of the insulin resistance benefits at its inception!
I personally have had success with this resveratrol product for joint repair and when I found about the insulin resistance benefits from the study out of Utah, I felt it noteworthy since most everyone is looking to reduce belly fat and address the underlying ‘mal-functions’ of the body! Thanks for asking your question and hope my answer helps.

I think you might be thinking resverotrol drives down blood sure. However it does not. When i discovered it is instrumental in opening up the receptor sites so nutrients and “sugars” (food converted to energy) can get in. I was thrilled. Anything we can do to help people with all this insulin resistance and belly fat gets an A+!

thanks Evelyn. Our products are the finest products on the market, approved by the campaign for safe cosmetics, made in an Eco-cert lab ( an international organization recognized by 80 countries!). They ban 1100 toxic ingredients from products, our FDA only bans 11. We;re proud of or products because as people begin to shed toxic fat, they should shed all those toxic body products they use too!… our products contain NO toxic preservatives, NO synthetic fragrances and are safe enough for a baby and safe enough for sensitive skin! Sensitive skin is usually over stimulated from all the synthetic ingredients that manufacturers put in there products, with some of the biggest offenders being the high priced products in mall and department stores! Definitely not worth the price they charge!
