What great debates all over the internet about the HCG diet. I love it!
Isn’t it interesting that the people who have success with this diet and have nothing but good things to say about it, are the same people who have failed miserably otherwise.
With that said, wouldn’t it be nice to support these people instead of pounding them into the ground trying to convince them this isn’t the diet for them?
With the rate of morbidly obese people in North America increasing every day, I would think we should be dancing in the street celebrating the overwhelming success so many are experiencing and cheering them on for long term success!
In a recent post from an HCG Dieter, he mentioned he was weak while on the hcg diet. That’s nothing more than electrolyte imbalance and people snap right out of it with correct re-mineralization. That’s even more reason that the HCG Diet should be done with the coaching of a correctly trained practitioner.
The oddity I have noticed about the people who are lashing out at these successful HCG Dieters seem to be medical doctors who are some of the same people who prescribe appetite suppressants and give B-12 shots so people can lose weight by mere starvation. So if we need to be bashing ANY diet, it’s this foolish behavior of recommending starvation and a detrimental drug to keep them from eating..
Now THAT’s what we should all be blogging about . . . not bashing people who have found a diet that works!
I personally think we should respect each person’s individual right to chose this diet or not and what gives anyone the right to tell anyone they shouldn’t be doing a diet that works.

I’ve looked at the site, but I don’t see any information on the mechanism that HCG performs that would promote weight loss? Side effects? What sort of diet is recommended while on the HCG diet?

Ah, great question (s)… comments Dr. Gaily.
hCG positively Affects the hypothalamus gland, and in certain doses acts as a precursor to estrogen and testosterone. In VERY small doses, JUST enough to potentially support proper function of the hypothalamus, it has been shown that with a specific low fat diet, the body begins to tap into the store RESERVE, abnormal fat instead of utilizing the ‘good’ structural fat and muscle.
I know that sounds interesting and many do not believe the millions of people around the world who swear by this diet, but let me throw this out to you.
We all know the thyroid can go HYPO… we all know the adrenals can go HYPO… so why is it so bizarre to assume that the hypothalamus cannot also…? if we know hcg AFFECTS it’s function…………. why DOESN’T it make sense that in VERY small doses it begins to get that organ to function properly … and when the very low fat, low food plan is used, it now signals the body to tap into the fat RESERVES to sustain instead of the structure fat and muscle.
As for side effects you asked about:
POSITIVE: reduction in blood pressure, reduction in glucose levels and reduction in insulin requirements… all within 2 weeks….reduction of anti-depressants in some women….
reduction of the abnormal fat in ALL…. fast and effective fat loss…better long term results….
CAUTION: minerals, electrolytes ad other nutritional supplements are needed for 40%. When they are given the correct items, that 40% of people who can’t do this diet drops to ZERO… that is provided the correct selection of good candidates has been preformed.
The Diet that is recommended consists of 8 time a person can eat throughout the day: 2 proteins;2 vegetable choices; 2 starches; 2 fruits. The key to these foods are specific ones and regulation of quantity portion.
This diet is NOT about calories. Not calories are counted…. NONE, NADA!

while it can’t be PROVEN what hcg does, it is hypothesized that it balances the hypothalamus to work more efficient when a reduction in food and fat is used. This seems to somehow signal the body to start utilizing the stored fat instead of the good fat. the diet consists of a list of specific foods: 2 servings a day of each: proteins; fruits; vegetables; bread sticks. so you can acutallly each 8 times in one day. check out our website to find out a little more about the hcg diet and you can also download or read the entire manual written by Dr Simmeons. He is the endocrinologist behind this entire diet: http://hcgdietplan.com/hcg-diets Thanks for asking your question!

That is indeed a fact, some companies have the propaganda of making HCG diet products fail because it pose a great threat for the development of their own weight loss program.
