Vitamin C -Medicine’s dilemma
By Dr. A. W. Martin | October 2, 2008
I am very interested how traditional medicine will spin this study on vitamin c that shows it protects cancer cells during chemotherapy. Now most oncologists will no doubt boast about the idea that this proves vit c actually counter acts traditional cancer treatment. However a close look at this study reveals that antioxidants like vitamin c are so powerful that they protect cells from free radical damage especially at the mitochondria level(the cells battery pack). You see, by admitting that vit c protects cells whether they are cancerous or not might force medicine to admit that antioxidants ought to be an important part of cancer prevention.
